National Roofing won the 1st Runner Up: Subcontractor Excellence in Safety Award from the American Subcontractors Association of New Mexico!
National Roofing Safety Department Manager, Jose Martinez, accepted the award with Rick Trujillo, Safety/QC Associate, and Francine Campos, Chief of Human Resources Officer.
Jose says National Roofing won the award from commitment, responsibility and communication from the entire team.
"I believe that communication and good behavior is essential to gain trust and reach the desired goal," Jose Martinez said. "I will continue to do my best to motivate workers and pass on what I have learned."
Jose's leadership has made a huge impact at National Roofing, encouraging everyone to constantly improve themselves and practice safety procedures.
"Jose sets the tone on what is expected on a safety level. He ensures all of our team members are trained and go home safe each night," Francine Campos said.
National Roofing recognizes our employees are our greatest assets and provides training and qualification opportunities to further our success.
Jose took the initiative to get certified to train National Roofing employees. He is OSHA 500 certified meaning that he can train employees with OSHA 10 and 30 classes, a rare achievement in the state of New Mexico.
"Jose has been with the company for over 20 years. He has worked in many different positions and has worn different hats depending on what was needed from him," said Todd Jackson, National Roofing Chief Operations Officer. "His work ethic is fantastic, and we are extremely lucky to have him on our team!"
The award was given via a drive-through parade from the ASANM team, providing celebratory champaign, confetti, and balloons! In case you missed the fun, below are the some highlights of the celebration!
