National Roofing, one of New Mexico’s oldest and largest commercial roofing companies, has added Josuel Martinez to their team as an Apprentice Estimator. In his new position, Josuel is responsible for assisting the estimating department with reviewing take-off information for submittals and actively going on roof walks to better understand the process in and outside the office.
Josuel comes from the roofing industry and has experience selling roofing materials. He is driven and excited for this change in direction with his career at National Roofing. Josuel is eager to expand his knowledge and to grow into his new position.
“Everything has been a learning experience. There are steps I have to take, and things I have to learn,” says Josuel. “I want to work my way up to an Estimator, that would be the ultimate goal… I’m gearing up to take the CDT test for CSI. Anything I can do to better myself and better the company is ideal.”
Josuel says he’s dedicated to putting in the time, energy, and work ethic to not only do his job, but to do it well.
“A lot of people know how to do a job, but how many people have work ethic?” Josuel asked. “I try to be the hardest working guy because I think skill and talent only get you so far, you have to put in the work.”
