Your roof is obviously a very important part of your roofing investment and shelling out thousands of dollars for a new one in a short amount of time can be financially burdensome. One way to protect your investment is to obtain a warranty. At NRC, our warranties are covered by our manufacturers, which guarantee the quality of the products we’re using.
There are a couple of different kinds of warranties, including the standard depreciating value warranty, the No Dollar Limit (NDL) and the Total System No Dollar Limit. The cost of a warranty is determined by square foot of coverage.
For a residential roof, we recommend a five year warranty, which costs from $500-$1000. For commercial roofs, a 10 year NDL is appropriate, at a cost of $.05 to $.10 per square foot. For manufacturing or heavy commercial facilities, we recommend either a 10 or 29 year Total System NDL, with a cost of $.07 to $.17 per square foot.
