National Roofing Company Announces Executive Promotions

While it's more common to hear bad news rather than good news in these difficult economic times, National Roofing Company (NRC), a 30-year-old New Mexico company, celebrates exciting news with four executive promotions. The promotions of four tenured staff members are as follows: Todd Jackson as President, Ed MacFarlane as VP of Construction Operations, Chris Smith as VP of Sales and Estimating and Teresa Serna as VP of Business Administration. NRC's appointments are in light of many company initiatives headed by Jackson that are being implemented not only as a response to current economic instability but mostly as a strategic plan that will carry the company through the next 30 years.

Jackson notes, “In the 12 years I have been with the company I have witnessed amazing growth due to our high level of quality and our ability to anticipate innovations in the construction industry. We are constantly thinking creatively and educating ourselves on new ways to engineer better roofs. Not only does this allow us to diversify our service offerings, it also allows us to continue to improve the products we provide. I know these business practices will help make this transition an easy one as well as help us withstand these unfavorable economic times.”

Jackson, who joined NRC in ‘96, succeeds Tom Johns who is one of the original founders of the company. Johns’ leadership, foresight and the strength of the team he has built is what has made NRC continue to see revenue growth even when the construction industry is taking a big economic hit. Jackson, MacFarlane, Smith and Serna’s expertise and dedication to quality service have been an integral part to the company over the past 20 years. They, along with Johns make up the leadership team that has built such an exceptional service and quality product and will continue to do so in the years to come.

When asked how he felt about stepping down as President Johns’ replied, “For over 30 years NRC has provided the finest quality materials installed by continuously trained roofing mechanics. NRC’s commitment to quality is confirmed by being the only 15 time Firestone Master Contractor in New Mexico. That will remain unchanged. This new leadership it going to continue to perpetuate the same level of standards and successes because they share the same business practices and principles of excellence in quality products, superior installation and the highest performance in safety. Because of this we anticipate an extremely smooth transition, almost transparent to our customers.”
